Supervisor of the Egyptian Antiquities Retrieval lectures on the Ministry projects in the Museum of Cyprus




In the framework of the signed agreement for the joint cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and its Cypriot counterpart last year, at the invitation of Dr. Marina Solmedo, Director of the Cypriot Antiquities, Shaaban Abdel Gawad met with the Ministry of Antiquities, At the headquarters of the Museum of the Archeology of Cyprus in the Cypriot capital of Nicosia.







Abdul Jawad gave a lecture during which he discussed the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and its success in retrieving the Egyptian antiquities smuggled out of the country, where the recovered in the last two years more than 1000 artifacts from different countries of the world.









He pointed out during the lecture about the most important modern discoveries and projects and museums opened by the Ministry of Antiquities and others, which is scheduled to open in the near future.









 Abdul-Jawad said that the lecture was highly appreciated by the Cypriot side, which led him to take the Egyptian experience as an example to recover the smuggled effects, through the organization of a number of workshops and training courses between the two countries.




The Sudanese side expressed its sincere pride and appreciation for the distinguished relations between the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and its Cypriot counterpart in light of the distinguished cultural relations between the Egyptian and Cypriot peoples.
